Peggiora la situazione a Rio de Janeiro, dove maltempo e alluvioni continuano a colpire. I morti sono 104, e seimila gli sfollati. Alti i rischi di crolli e smottamenti. La citta' e' pressoche' paralizzata. Le principali arterie di circolazione sono state chiuse.

Le imprese pubbliche e private hanno chiesto ai dipendenti di rimanere a casa e il sindaco ha esortato a evitare spostamenti non strettamente necessari. Il presidente Lula ha ordinato l'intervento dell'esercito.
